Dr. Harsha graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. degree in 1978.  He then attended the Medical College of Virginia and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1982.  While at the Medical College of Virginia he received several awards as the most outstanding student in his class.  Dr. Harsha received his training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of North Carolina.  During this four years of intensive training he served as a resident physician at North Carolina Memorial Hospital.  In 1985 he was appointed Chief Resident in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.  He received his Master’s Degree in 1986 from the University of North Carolina.  As part of his training, he studied overseas with some of the most influential plastic, maxillofacial and reconstructive surgeons in the world.

Dr. Harsha is certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.  He is a fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Harsha has presented the results of his surgery to numerous professional organizations in the United States, Europe and China.  He is the author of a number of articles published in the medical literature.

Dr. Harsha has practiced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Horry County since 1986.  He is on the staff of both Grand Strand Regional Medical Center as well as Conway Hospital. He has an active practice that includes wisdom tooth removal or other extractions, dental implants for restoring single teeth or full mouth restoration. He also provides cosmetic facial surgery that includes botox, fillers, laser resurfacing, blepharoplasty, and face lifts.
